Dealing with employment, unemployment, or professional licensing issues is never fun or easy. Our goal is to move as much of that burden as possible from you to us; and provide a clear understanding of your legal situation and options in a cost-effective manner.
Jon Weiner has been representing employees for over twenty years in Oregon's state and federal courts, the Office of Administrative Hearings, the Employment Department and various state agencies. He has argued before the Oregon Court of Appeals and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals; and has petitioned for review in the Oregon Supreme Court and for certiorari in the United States Supreme Court.
For 12 years, Jon served as Editor of a national employment law bulletin distributed to hundreds of paid subscribers consisting of employment law firms and law schools throughout the Country. The list of paid subscribers included Littler Mendelson (the world's large employment law firm), Harvard, UCLA, and University of Virginia. Prior to joining the firm, Carla worked for more than 25 years in the non-profit world. Fifteen of those years were spent as Community Recourse Director at a regional non-profit organization serving low income and other disadvantaged members of her community.
Carla was responsible for the management and oversight of dozens of programs with an operating budget of several million dollars per year. Highly respected throughout the social service world, Carla is renowned for her ability to rehabilitate small, struggling programs into stronger, more successful ones.
Carla received her BA in Education from Arkansas State University - although at core she has always been (and will always be) a University of Arkansas Razorbacks fan. Carla has 8 beautiful grandchildren whom she loves "to the moon and back" and then some. Carla's uncanny ability to "connect" with other human beings, coupled with her positive outlook and persistent goofiness, make her an incredible co-worker and beloved compatriot. We are lucky to have her!
Chloe is the eldest, most driven, and arguably funniest of Carla's beautiful grandchildren. Born at Silverton Hospital as SpongeBob SquarePants blared in the background, Chloe from the start had a sense of humor far beyond her years.
Although never formally indicted, Chloe's early homicidal ideation regarding her younger sister Liah is a matter of family record. Nowadays, Chloe and Liah are the best of friends.
Chloe graduated a year early from Louisiana State University (LSU) in 2023,with a major in Marketing. We are as excited as we are fortunate to have Chloe on the team!
